Is this normal for my euphyllias?

Ive noticed lately my euphyllias have been going into their skeletons at nighttime usually. I just want to know if they are supposed to do this. freaks me out lol. I noticed my yellow tipped just did it during day hours randomly. It also expels zooxanthellae at times.

This is what they do at times

Yes they close up at night, sometimes very tight and other times not so much. By morning before the lights come on they usually look relaxed but not open as big as when the lights are on.

Good looking LPS by the way!!

completely normal. what you referred to as zooxanthellae expulsion is probably just the coral expelling waste (unless the polyp is bleaching).

It is normal for it to shrink down at night. Not all the way in. Mine just go about half size. I never notice any zooxanthele expelsion. Are you sure its not deficating. If it is shrunk in the day it either has too much flow. Something bothered it or your water parameters are off.

My euphillas are better than any test kit. If they are not nice and plump something is off.

Nice looking tank.

thanks for the quick replies everyone. im glad to hear that its normal. They are probably just pooping lol. thanks alot guys! water params are perfect .
