Is this Normal for Wavebox?

I got the new generation Wavebox 6212 about 3 month ago.
I see that the wave is constant even the light off. Do wavebox decrease the wave at night ? Is there anything wrong with photocell ?? (which attached the back eurobraced and about 4 in way from the light.)
there are slave port in the controller. Can I plug controllable pump to Controller?
I want to clear out some of my questions. Please inform me. thank you.

Will it not shut off when the room is dark either? When it is attached it should shut the unit down at night. You mentioned it is 4" away from the light... what type of light?

As for attaching a pump yes you can but bear in mind it will only run in sync or opposite sync of the wavebox which is typically not making best use of the pump

I tried to cover the photocell today, and the wavebox didn't shut off.
Steve, the light is very weak and far away .
