my calcium levels in my tank depletes like 1 ppm a day. is that normal? i have frogspawn, torch, and gsp in my tank right now. my alk however goes down .6dkh a day.

That alkalinity drop corresponds to a drop of about 4 ppm per day in calcium, if the alkalinity is going to calcification. Given the various precision issues, I don't think that sounds unreasonable for some setups, depending on the time frame of testing.

What's being dosed, if anything?

When Ca++ leaves solution it usually takes Alk with it. For each 20 ppm Ca++ drop, there will be a drop in Alk of 2.8 dkH. So, that is 1 ppm Ca+ / day to .14 dkH /day. You are loosing .46 dKH extra /day which is not un-normal as your Alk demand is higher than your Ca++ demand. Much of that is being used up in other chemical reactions.

ok new question.

since i consume .6 dkh a day. i have to add about 1 tsp of seachem reefbuilder.

if i put 30tsps of reef builder in a 1 gallon container and fill the rest of it with RO/DI water, is it correct to dose 126 ml of solution into the sump or are my calculations off?
