I just tested the water for my new 24 gallon aquapod and test results are:

PH: 8.2
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
Amonia: 0
CA: +/- 400
Mg: +/- 1260

What else do I need to test for and what else besides my Kent Marine Tech CB A and B do I need to supplement?

also as far as animals go if anyone needs this information I have two clams, some zoo's, a leather of some sort, mushrooms, and I will soon have sps and many more zoo's.

My testing schedule is:

Continuous Monitoring:
Temperature Controller
PH Controller
ORP (Optional) Controller

Weekly:
Salinity Refractometer
Calcium Salifert
Alkalinity LaMotte

Monthly:
Nitrate Hanna Colorimeter
Phosphate Hanna Colorimeter
Magnesium Salifert

If notice distress:
Ammonia Hanna Colorimeter
Nitrite Hanna Colorimeter

By the way... If you expect to have sps zzos will be invasive to them so look for ways to place smaller 2 to 4" pieces of rock around the zoos so as they grow you can remove them to keep them at bay otherwise they may overgrow the sps.

This is the one I use although you can get them specific for a single parameter:

http://www.hannainst.com/products/ion/photometers.cfm?ProdCode=HI 83203

You can get them from:
www.customaquatic.com
or
www.aquaticecosystems.com
Just insure to mention the right model which is the C-203
It costs about $650.00

To save some money you can use general test kits for most of the measurments but phophate kits have proven to be difficult so you may want to get only the phosphate specific colorimeter which is about $200

Also isure to ask for the LR (Low Range) meter and reagents.
