Is this okay?

Hi everyone, please take a look at the attached photo and let me know if it's okay to have these corals close together like that.

I read that the brain coral extends tentacles at night - just wondering if those tentacles or the mucous discharge will impact the well being of my hammer corral.

Thank you so much!

6" all around. The brain is capable of all that---move them before nightfall in the tank!

For acclimating them to light intensity would probably be OK but I wouldn't have those as permanent spots

^that right there. My Gonastrea is slowly killing some Mind Blowing Palys that are close to it. It started with just short feeder tentacles then he sprouted some long sweepers that right now are only 2" but as the frag grow and sprouts new sections the sweepers get longer.

How old is the tank. I don't see anything growing on those rocks or even sand

Tank is about 3 months old, there's a lot of stuff growing all over the rocks, not sure why the pics are not showing. I have green, turning to purple type activity all over the rocks.

Ok just wanted to see. Thought the tank was newer. Want to go slow in beginning make sure water quality and chemistry stays consistent

i was kinda concerned about this seeing the edge of what looks like a flower pot coral off to the edge . they are very hard to keep alive . i have 3 of them and they are the first sign of any tank issues...
of course if that is what i am seeing in the image

Yes, that is a goniopora coral, he's been very happy in my tank fully extending all it's things, even the ones touching the sand. I am closely watching this coral, spot feeding. So far, it's been over a week and all is well.

What Erica is saying these corals are notorious for living a short while then just dying.
