i have a good list of 5 fish that i think is the max i can put in.
1 dwarf angel fish ( coralbeauty, bicolor, or flame)
2 blackwhite/orangewhit ocell pair
1 starry blenny (have it in now)
1 sixline wrasse
i have a 29gal biocube
any suggestions?

The dwarf angel could be a bit too much, especially if you have a mated aggressive pair of clowns. In a tank that small everywhere the angel went he would run into two possible aggressive clowns. I have a tomato clown and a purple striped psuedochromis in mine and know that I can't have anymore fish because they killed them. Tensions run high in small tank.

From what I've read and heard, the angel would also appreciate more swimming room. Something along the lines of a 40 or 50 gallon. Not only is your cube only 29 gallons, it's also a cube so there's not much swimming length. Good luck.

Your clowns will take over the tank once they are sexually mature. The sixline is a very aggressive fish, especially in a small tank. I certainly would not add more, probably skip the sixline.

i think im gunu skip the angel and take out my chromis and just go with the blenny 2x clowns sixline and maybe add a royal grama my friend is giving away at the end. I know the sixline can be real aggressive so im adding him last. I have a lot of liverock where he can swim and hide so hopefully he wont get too mean.

the pygmy angel may be a good choice. while they certainly have the temperment of the larger angels they stay much smaller.

james, you are the first person to say it was a good idea to get a pgymy in my type of tank. can you elaborate? you must obviously have a lot of experience seeing you have 15years salt water

IMO, you could get away with a smaller Centropyge, ie Cherub or Flameback, but there are a couple of issues I see between an angel and both the blenny and 6-line. They are also known to be a bit more aggressive than other dwarves, so that could be an issue as well. With your stocking list, an angel is a bad idea.

I'd stick with the two clowns and the 6-line. If you went with just a single clown, it could give you a little more room to add something more peaceful.

i love the 2 clowns so im gunu stick with those. instead of the angel, could i get a royal grama as my last fish? or would that still be pushing it on too many aggressive fish?

too much with the sixline though? hes one of my favorite fish. if i add the sixline, grama,2xocels and blenny, is it overstocking or too much aggression?

+1 I'd do a max of four peaceful fish in the BC29, three if they're aggressive. It's an aggression issue, but I also wouldn't do five fish in the mentioned tank unless two of them were "nano" gobies.

I was referring to the c. argi but they can be pretty aggressive.

I had a pair of ocellaris clowns in a 29g for a few years just by themselves and it actually felt just right. I didn't think it needed more fish.
