Is this plate growth or something else?

This plate coral has been in my tank for two weeks now. And today I noticed that a few of the ridge edges were white. Is this growth or something else. I've been feeding it pellets and brine shrimp about every four days. Aside from the white edges on a few ridges, color appears to be the same.

Water parameters have not changed at all. Ca 400, Alk - 9dKh, pH 8.1, T 82.4 deg, phosphates not measurable. Same with nitrates. Been getting good spurt of coralline growth as well as other coral growth recently with he start of kalk dripping three weeks ago (before purchase of plate.)

Any ideas?

I have had a green plate coral for six months. It will look SOMEWHAT like that at night. Ordinarily, it is huge and inflated with tentacles extended.

Could quite possibly be getting too much light. Try shading and see how it reacts in a few days. Very easy to underestimate T5's, especially with certain LPS. If it's eating dont stop feeding, that with a lil shade and nothing more than a moderate current and I think your luck will be much better.

I've moved it out of the light and shaded it a little...
I didn't think the T5s would be that powerful at the bottom of the tank but the LFS owner advised on the same for a few days. we'll see how it goes. I've stopped feeding the pellets and are doing mysis soaked in selcon every two days because it looks better after eating them. i'll keep you posted on the progress. Thanks

Awesome! Im looking foward to hearing about it either neg. neut. or positive results. I couldnt have suggested a better feed and much much better than what you were feeding it, kudos. I wish it a speedy recovery, and again looking foward to the updates as it can help us all.

I have mine on the bottom under 500w of MH. The pic below is when I first got it back in Jan. It's alot bigger now.

The LFS owner told me that the orange plate I have isn't as light hungry as the green type - Make sense to you guys? I know that is true for mushrooms.

Update:
Plate looks about the same today.
