Is this pump too much flow?

Hi all, I have a CAD versa 42 I am cycling now. My question is that I bought a pump on impulse, lol. Its the eheim 1200 and not sure if its too much for the tank. Tank volume is 42 gallons, sump is 16 gallons, i have it a bit more than half full right now.

Based on CAD, the pump details says its a 500gph pump but i think when I check the model it said 660gph JEBO model.

I bought the following used -
Eheim 1260 Universal Pump:
Pump Output: 635 gph

Thinking the gph was close but seemed the eheim was alot more powerful from what I could tell, just seeing if you all think its too much for my tank. I get the humming sound from both, so i think i need to just get the silicone pads and see if that helps.

thanks

Typically one would recommend between 3-10X display volume (after head losses) for flow rate through the sump..
Tag.. You're it... Time for you to do the math with the missing details..
