Is this really a p. ciliata?

well this website says it's one, or is it the blue spearer that's been showing up?

i dont believe it is a p. ciliata either, if you look at the eyes of the ciliata they are much larger then the ones in the picture not to mention there is some sort of armor going between the eyes of that spearer, i dont believe i have even seen a spearer like that on dr. roys website
 
All I have to go on are the eyes and raptorial appendage, but I would say that this is a species of Acanthosquilla, possibly derijardi. It is in the family Nannosquillidae which are Lysiosquilliods.

WOW!! B-E-A-UTIFUL!!! I'd love to know more about that guy. That is just amazing! What is that plate between the eyes for? Why the purple coloring, seems a little flamboyant for a mantis!
 
from my guess the plate must be for some sort of protection, shrimp have the same thing between their eyes, and i could only guess on the coloration but from most other animals in the world it might be a male of the species
