is this reef safe....

The picture of the fish you have is a Yasha Haze goby (Stonogobiops yasha) and is reef safe, the sandperch is also reefsafe http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=1714

I don't think the first fish pictured and the second are the same fish...

To me the first fish looks more like this...

The yasa hashe is a wonderful little fish with interesting behaviors, if not spooked by bigger fish.

yeah great fish i have a friend who has one. Never had any problems with him

no one has mentioned that if you got him for free nice pick up! they can and are ussually pricey for a little fish.
