Is this ro/di worth buying for the price?

A RO/DI is the life blood of your reef, yes you need one. Is that one good? I have no idea but I'm sure its better than not having one.

I got the Bulk Reef Supply 4 stage value plus model 75gpd. It comes put together with a dual inline TDS meter & pressure gauge & all fittings for hooking it up.

I have since added a 3 way splitter, a new 1/4 tube for a line that splits before the DI stage or making RO drinking water- just add stop valves on the new RO line & DI line.

Now I never buy bottled water.

I understand how crucial these are and I will check all of your links and information. Buying one ASAP thank you guys!

Az Johnny - that unit says garden hose adapter - do most have that? I'm assuming u just hookup the garden house and let her filter? - that would
Be awesome

Most laundry rooms have a garden hose adapter for the washer. You can buy a Y and have the one for the washer & other or the RO/DI.

IMHO a 6 stage unit is unnecessary unless your water has extremely high tds. A 4 or 5 stage unit is plenty and will save you money in the long run with replacement filters. Horizontal di is not great either. Like others recommended look into other vendors. You will get your money's worth.

I recommend this one from BRS. You will need the TDS meter and pressure gauge. I have the same one with the drinking water setup and I'm very happy with it. I was going to buy the cheaper one but I am so glad I took the advice on here and spent a little more.

I'll add to the chorus recommending the BRS unit. Dual TDS meter, auto-shutoff, pressure gauge, flush valve. All are very good to have. I like 75 GPD units because brand-name Dow FilmTec membranes are easy to find for cheap and it's unlikely that you'd ever need to make water faster. BRS systems also have dual-gasket push-connect fittings that hold the hose securely without leaking, even when the hose goes in at a funky angle. I've had cheaper ones from brands like AquaFX start to drip. Some brands, like Kent, don't even have push-connects and have compression ferrule fittings instead.

Be aware the BRS one doesn't come with a float valve, you'll have to add it separately. It does come with a bunch of different supply connectors.

Buy a 4 stage BRS, spectrapure, or buckeye RO/DI unit. Don't skimp on this. I mad the mistake of buying a coralife that was more expensive than my current BRS setup. It was awful.

I have mine set up like Michigan Mike has described, the black line is the feed off of the cold water feed to the washing machine and the yellow is the waste line that goes directly into the washing machine drain, here is a pic
