Is this still reef safe

I have some stainless steel fraging tools that have got rusty. I have soaked them in vinegar and the rust comes off but they look all dull now. Are they still reef safe?

As long as they are just coming into contact momentarily they are fine. I wouldn't leave them in there.

The secret to preventing that in the future is to rinse them really well with tap water or better yet DI water whenever you get done using them.

Okay and Thanks disc1, I used to think that Stainless Steel meant that it won't stain.

There are some very expensive grades of stainless that are suitable for saltwater use. You wouldn't be willing to pay for a pair of coral cutters made of that. Lol
