Hello all, thanks for reading up on this. I bought a clam about five days ago. It has been a tuff week for it. I HAD a blenny that was nipping the tar out of it, as you can tell from the missing pieces. The offender is long gone now. I noticed yesterday that the corner was not opening all the way like it had the previous day. I took a few pics today, please tell me what you think. I tried the search feature but it is disabled.

Thanks for the reply. I have been reading, pre and post purchase of the clam, about the horror stories of PM and just want to catch it quick if it happens to me. I am just glad I got that offending blenny out of the tank, he really went to town on the clams.

Pinched Mantle. It is fatal most of the time. From what I have been reading a 30 minute fresh water dip sometimes helps.

LOL, thats fine. I got that sucker out ASAP. I had to put the clams under a net the first few days until I had a day off. Then I just used some food as bait with a box and lid. I did a bit of "fishing" and the blenny is in a friends tank now. I wanted to just toss it in the yard, but had a heart at the last minute.
