Is this thing dyed??

I have never seen an orange nepthia before... I have done some searches and can't find anything on it. The color of it is awsome in the picture. It looks almost like a carnation though. No real expansion like would be expected from a nepthia.

I have seen orange dendronepthea but that one doesn't have the clear/opaque branches and stalk. Looks like the branches and stalk aren't supposed to be the color they are in the pic. If it is healthy it should be open a great deal more.

Oh well crud, I thought it was a (dendro)nepthia. I don't think nepthea come in that color naturally. It is dyed. Don't buy it.

If it is a regular nepthia I am pretty sure it is dyed. If it is a dendronepthia it will most likely die anyway since they are almost impossible to keep. I would pass on it either way.

It's Scleronephthya and it's not dyed.

I didnt think it was dyed either, but just keep in mind it may not look that way in your tank , other factors determine that color so just dont be shocked if it changes in your environment.
