Is this thing going to live

So after my last sebae died, I had a guy offer me another one. It looked pretty healthy so I took it off his hands. I am trying to get it healthy to put in my 90. The base is brown/purplish, and the body off the nem is brown, disc has a green glow under actinics, and the tentacles are brown. Pic is right after I put it in the tank. It is probably close to 10" in diameter.

Me either. That wasnt really a concern for me, the only concern I really have now is the fact that the mouth is not shut tight, but I think that is because of stress. The nem looks really good today, mouth is still a little open, but it is anchored hard to a few rocks and burying in the sand.

That is kind of what I thought. It seems tgo be doing better now it really loves the halides, I guess time will tell.

I do not think it is a magnifica. I have never seen a mag with a pattern like that on the tentacles.

I agree prob not a mag. I just said it looks a lot like one,, I would agree more with malu but the color is generally more red, is it not?

All of the malu's I've seen also had a white bottom - like most sebae's... That's what threw me for a loop! However the oral disk and the tentacles look very similar to a malu I once had... Especially the green color of the oral disk - the florescent green...

Hope it pulls through.

GO RAMS!!

Always good to see a fellow Rams fan.

I think after looking at it it is a malu. I know that the tentacles have stayed pretty short and stubby, maybe an inch long towards the edges.

It is anchored hard to several rocks and pretty buried, but the mouth is still kind of open. I have been feeding silversides to try to get it looking better. Fully expanded its about 10" and both of my pink skunks are hosting it. This pic was a few days ago, I will take some more today.
