i have one false percula, one green clown goby, and one purple pseudochromis. is there another fish that i could safely add, or am i at/over my limit?

forgot to add that i have a 20H as a sump with 50 lbs. of LR, and i will be getting a coralife 65 soon as well.

well you will have no problems at all with bioload. That will not be an issue at all. The problem will just be the amount of fish and the space available, you know? I dont know much about purple psuedo's but most other psuedos that i've seen normally require a minimum of 30 gallons (for the smaller ones) but again, i'm not sure about the purple. But if it is anything like the others, then no i would not add anything.

But imo, you may be able to get a firefish or maybe a smaller cardinal. The all stay more up in the water column and dont bother other fish. Most other fish stay closer to the rock, so its not like they would really clash much if at all

i was told that i cannot add another clown because my big female would more than likely kill the new immature male. i would like to go with a second clown because i think that my 20H would be a bit too small for 2 chromis? what option would be best?

How do you know the clown you have now is female? How long have you had it? I'd say just get a male from the store thats as big as possible. If you do go with another clown, be sure your tank is covered. They process of establishing dominance is rather aggressive and its very common for clowns to come flying out if the top is open.

i would actually suggest getting a young clown because they probably wouldn't be a female yet. btw everything i have read says at most what you want is 2 gallons for every one inch of fish as a general rule. depending on your filtration system of course there can be more or less but they said that is a good general rule of thumb.
