My LFS guy told me my angel's diet should include sponge for it's survival. Is this true? Thanks for any info...
Why would this be?Originally posted by DrChristianTroy
Not even an urban legand that's insane;your water parameters should be devastated if you use sponges as fish food
not sure exactly what you are saying, but are you saying coral beauties are NOT angels? i'm pretty sure they are dwarf angels.Originally posted by tommckenna
Coral Beauties are not anls are bu t almost all need some kind of frozen food with algae and or sponges in it at some time but alot will eat flake also as a fill in between frozen
Not even an urban legand that's insane;your water parameters should be devastated if you use sponges as fish food( only with some special angel genus like diacanthus you have to offer some sponges)
This is wholly unecessary for this species--or really any of the Centropyge for that matter, although they may browse upon it (just as many do coral). Examples that NEED sponges are Pygoplites diacanthus and Holocanthus tricolor.
