Is Ulva good for tangs?

I know (have read) gracilaria is good for tangs. As it's part of their natural diet. Plus any gracilaria you feed from your fuge might have some pods in it for added proteins.

I got some ulva and gracilaria from Bill and I want to know if Ulva is generally fed to people's tangs. It floats all over the place and blocks up my return flow chamber a little bit.

I put some in my tank that I found on a local dock, thinking my Yellow Tang would eat it........He never touched it though.

This was the green kind, but I saw a ton of the Red Ulva diving the other day and considered grabbing some for the tank, but didn't.

I'd like to hear others experiences with this also....

Reports are tangs go bonkers over the stuff.

I can't get it to grow, though. Just dies off for me.
