Pump cavitation comes from 2 sources, impeller turning and no place for the water to go, example,"closed dicharge valve", the other one "lack of water head" and getting a Vortex created, letting air into the suction of the pump. The first one would not create air bubles, the second one would since the center of the vortex is air just like a Tornado.
