Thanks Everyone!

cward, those were the guys.

Marshall, Im sure you can have them hand deliver it to you. :)

I will move on to plumbing the tank soon. I have to find some fittings and also find some sched 80 1.5" piping (not flex). I also need to do some leak testing.

I dont know if you guys notice, but right behind this new tank was where my 100g in wall was. How easy it was to have someone come out and close off the hole. It feels like it was never there.

This is gonna be a great tank & thread, Good luck with the build.

Invince, Do you know the glass thickness of your tank in millimeters?

awesome looking tank, and great photos, taco bell, lol!

that's some service, they made getting the tank set up in place so easy.

I can't wait to see the plumbing, all those holes on the bottom have me curious :)

Ed, wow awesome looking tank, good to see the stand matched up perfectly....can't wait to see the finished tank results.

Looks like a failure is near for that rubermaid. :eek1:

Sweet tank.

What is the advantage to the PVC? Just increased durability, or is there a cost savings too?

Steve,
That's reminents of where his better half came in the garage after she found out he bought the tank and had it delivered and set on the stand.

Nice dimensions on the tank, I would be skepticle about bowing but the manufacture must know their stuff or they wouldn't do it right?

Keep us posted, Man those cartoons were awesome almost like you had the guys pose to do that :D

NICE tank Edward!!! just found your thread

i was wondering this also.... i like the way it looks ... but anything eles positive to it?

Thank you everyone for the positive comments.

rayman, yes the other benefits are dropping a rock on your bottom pane glass... well with PVC, whats the worry? It may just dent it. Also, these tanks have most of the pressure on the bottom, if you have glass, then it may crack if it wasnt built correctly. You can also treat PVC like acrylic.. it can be drilled and be worry free of how many hold you have and creating more stress to the bottom pane.

radone, thats why i followed through with this size of a rimless tank. I hear nothing but positive comments about Tommy the builder. Rumor is that he has never had a tank leak on him. He also has a great reputation as a "whiz" when it comes to building these tanks. He's been building them for years. Supposedly he is top notch.

Abe, nice seeing you here! The stand you made me fits perfect!! You did a great job and everyone has commented on it when they saw the stand.

everyone else, thanks again.

I like the rimless design but with my son and baby on the way I'm sure I would be fishing toys out for sure. Maybe once they grow up and out I can finally build my dream

Keep some pics flowing

I love it invincible569. Cant wait to see more!

invinc or naka, are those tanks ok with wave boxes?

Eduard,

Nice tank man. What's the SCH 80 needed for? FWIW, SCH 40 and SCH 80 have the same OD, but SCH 80 has a smaller ID than SCH 40 due to the greater wall thickness. Therefore, SCH 80 has a little more restriction than SCH 40.

You can get SCH 80 from US plastics.

If you wanted to get trick, you can get SCH 40 in gray also so it all blends together.

Treg, thats a good question. This tank is built solid. I wouldnt recommend it as it lessens the life of the tank. It would be nice to see a rimless with a wavebox though. I know if you had a smaller rimless it would be good just as long as the thickness is appropriate.

tacocat, you are right. forgot they made sched 40 in gray. Thanks for letting me know.
