ISO: yellow leather

This is hilarious to me because 10 years ago this week, I logged in to hubby's (okay...hacked) RC acct looking for a yellow leather for him :P Some guys (Reefer Mac and Gary at the very least) teased that it would a shame if he let me get away. That Valentines day, he proposed.

Here I am again, by coincidence, looking to see if any one has a yellow leather they are parting with OR has seen any at a LFS?

Thanks,
Dan's Wife :)

Sacrophyton elegans( Fiji.yellow/sulfur leather) is the name which may be useful in a search. I haven't seen one for sale anywhere in quite some time. IME, they are a bit touchier than the other Sacrophyton but then I had one when I and my tank were very new to the hobby.

Thanks Don - I'll give G a call. I had a nice one a few years back.

I feel like it was far more common to see them years ago. I can't recall the last one I've seen either.

I have not owned one but have also heard they are much more demanding than other leathers. I don't know if their "demands" are completely known making care difficult.

Good luck finding one and if you do keep it alive so I can get a frag some day!

I kept the one in a 30 gallon with no skimmer and minimal water changes. I could have had better flow and light, and it still seemed to grow and do well.
