Isopod on my Seahorse?

This little green thing is stuck on my Seahorse. It seems to move pretty fast when I try to grab it. It looks like some sort of isopod, but it's bright green.. I just need to know if it's harmful or not, because it is bugging my pony :sad2:

(this was the best shot I could get of it)

The critter in question looks like a green blur, but it's about the shape and size (the SH looks small) of a Munnid isopod. These critters feed on algae, and it may be feeding on a bit that may be growing on your SH. The fact that it's running around also suggests that it's not a parasitic species, as they us ally attach themselves to their host.

Altho it won't physically hurt the SH (assuming it is indeed a Munnid), it seems like its presence is stressing the fish out, so your best bet is to grab the SH and give it a FW dip (match temp and pH) to chase the critter off.

Does the critter look like this?

This one had been eating red algae:
