First I would like to thank everyone involved in the move or had some part in assisting me this weekend. Whether it was mucles, equipment or encouragement, thank you all.
Dre and Crooks came over yesterday and helped with muscle and equipment. Thank guys.
Friday evening was a late night as I had to finish the tile in the basement for the move. Sneaking into bed at 2:45 a.m. after the basement work and trying not to wake the wife up only left me anxious and wife eyed staring at the ceiling making sure I had everything in order for the day to start at 4.
Got up, went over my checklist, fed the pooch and he and I left for the shop at 5 to pick up the truck and trailer and misc. equipment for the move. I took 20 minutes and played some ball with the little man. 10 1/2 month Rottie named Zuki. He goes every where with Daddy even spending his days and nights with me at the shop. He is awesome.
Trailer hitched up and back on the road at 6:30ish. Arrive at the pick uu locale and shoot the poop with the owner. Meet the wife and they met Zuki and even let him into their beautiful home. He was in heaven.
Go over the list and get everyting in the trailer set up waiting for the muscle. Help arrive and the loading went flawless and fairly quickly given that we screwed off a bit.
Back on the road at 9:30ish headed to Rod's for the stock tank. Met with Rod, shot the poop, he met Zuki and got a hand and armful of kisses and slobber. Thanks for the tank Rod. As always, a pleasure talking with you and seeing you again.
Head home and wait for the muscle. Muscle arrives and the trailer was emptied and tank in place in roughly 30 minutes. Great work guys and thank you again.
Got the tank in place and had to make some modifications to the stand to fit my application. Mods done and the work was getting ready to start.
Crooks stopped by with some equipment. Thanks brother. Nice meeting you. I even took some time out to go see his almost identical tank to mine so I could dream some more. Very nice 240g. Jealous.
Back home and pulled everything into the garage and downstairs. Made sure the sump would fit under the stand since the previous owner had the sump behind the wall.
Did some inventory and made a parts list for today and called it quits at midnight.
Back up at 4 and played with the pooch since he was neglected all afternoon yesterday. Went for a walk and played some ball.
Hung the Di unit in the laundry room and flused it for an hour. Ran to Menard's and picked up the missing pieces to the puzzle. Finished the plumbing on the drains and return and moved on to the leak test. Small leak on one of the drains. Fixed it, well I thought, it's now leaking a tiny bit as I type. Should be an easy fix. The tank is currently filling with water, I have 4 bags of sand in the tank, but need more. Grab some more this week sometime.
Let me post some picks for you picture hounds. :fun4: If I can remember how to do it.......
