It came back from the grave.....uh toilet

I noticed my emerald crab sitting out in the open on the sand in my fuge. This in itself was strange since I have only gotten partial glimpses of it since I put it in there. After it had been in the same place about an hour I decided to apply proper evaluation techniques to verify its health. I poked it with a turkey baster and sure enough it was dead. With full honors I buried him at sea and mournfully went to bed. This morning while turing off the fuge light I noticed a familiar green claw disappearing into a cave. A quick search with the flashlight and I find "the crab I flushed" sporting a shinny new green exoskeleton! The hermit crab molts I have previously dealt with were pretty easy to spot as a molt but I had no idea the emerald crabs left a completely intact body. Kinda cool.

Ha Sperry! I know how that feels. When I had my first aquarium I thought a crab came back from the dead! It's amazing to me how 'life-like' some molts can be.
