It looks like ich but..

So I've been doing the TTM, began January 11th. Although my first time performing this, I thought I did it properly. All my fish are doing very well and I see no signs of ich except for on one clown in particular, so that's three other clowns, a sixline wrasse, a spotted wrasse (forget the breed), 2 yellow gobies, a sailfin and even a blue tang all have no signs of any ailments. Any advice? Sometimes it seems the raised bumps come and go, I may have even misdiagnosed it from the beginning but this has enabled me to put some work into my main tank. I even saw another post which was labeled please tell me this isn't ich, but the author of the post never reported his/her findings.

Oh and as a side note I didn't have access to some of the medications such as prazipro being in Canada so during TTM I was also using paraguard, I understand it's not a cure but as a note, and other times used a uv light rated for 50 gallons in a 20 gallon tank.

My clown was like that, then became a little worst, now is recovering. My clown got sick 1 week after finishing the treatment with cupramin. I am far from an expert and judging from your picture, it looks like ich. Is it scratching or swimming anxiously, mine did that.

I've seen something like this before, especially on Watchman and Clown gobies, but was never able to find a proper diagnosis.
It might be a worm infection.
In lieu of a proper name I just call it Beulenpest (Bubonic plague) due to its appearance and generally avoid buying fish with the slightest sign of it.

judging from your picture, it looks like ich. Is it scratching or swimming anxiously, mine did that.

Thanks for the reply, no he swims around, eats fine and no abnormal breathing, haven't seen him rub up against anything ever.

Thanks throewer, I have been scouring the net lately searching by pictures then reading the post it was related to, it doesn't seem terribly uncommon but no answers that I've been able to find. After full TTM it has to be an internal parasite so a type of worm seems possible. What would be a recommended course of action if this was true? I would assume a dip of sorts, unfortunately as mentioned I don't have access to formalin or prazipro being up north. But reading other posts it seems as though they are ineffective anyways.

Could this be a rare infection of sporozoa? A head on or topdown photo might help. Is there excessive slime at the sites of infection?

They seem to be deep under the skin so I doubt that dips will do any good.
I think you would need something that enters the fish's blood stream to reach this.
I would keep him isolated to prevent it from spreading to other fish.

He is a tricky one, lots of spank but I got these two, a head on pic is tricky but I'm trying. I don't see any excess slime of any sort no. By feel he seems quite normal also. After looking up sporozoa which admittedly never heard of before it doesn't look similar but I will read more on it

Yes that makes sense. It would have to be a longer term form of treatment. I may bring him by my lfs where I purchased it and ask if they recognize the disease. It does seem odd I noticed this back when I quarantined my fish Jan 11th, they are white spots that come and go, they form a sort of arch which I saw on another post that may follow a certain tract? It's how it appeared to have started on mine as well, I cannot find the post again though.

Not to mention since January 11th all fish were quarantined together and no other fish are infected like this.

duanegraham, check with your local LFS. Prazipro is available in Canada, but may not be in stock at any given time. There are also some Cdn online vendors who sell it. You can send me a pm and I will point you to online suppliers. I dont know the LFS's in the Toronto area, so cannot help you there.
