You all don't understand. I have had a 2 X 250 10K MH retrofit kit and VHO'screwed to a sheet of plywood hanging over my tank(s) for over a year!! My eyes used to be blue, now they're actinic lets put it that way.

Oh man!!! I think I am going to drive back into town early this week just to hang it over the tank!!

Hey I do have a question for ya. Currently I have the 250 SE 10K Ushio's over the tank with the PFO ballast. When I put the Giesemann 250 HQI over the tank do you think I need to do any sort of acclimation or is the PAR about the same???

They are 13K...

If I remember correctly, the 13k GM and the 10K ushio are VERY similar in output and color. I would still acclimate the tank to the new bulbs, just because they are new, and likely to be different in spectrum, ESPECIALLY with the new ballast.

Yes to nice color on the Phoenix. And is that a new 14K bulb or is that the 10K Plus that is 14K?

That's the 14K bulb that is labeled as a 10K. The same bulbs that are equivalent to aquaconnect. We have plenty of 150 and 250 watters in stock.

I do reccomend the 14K Phoenix bulbs for color. They also have a very high PAR rating for a bluer bulb. Their my bulb of choice by far. Plus the price is right for DE halide bulb!
