It won't stick

I've got a Neon Green Palau Nephthea that just won't stick to a plug.
I tried sticking it with superglue and it held for about a day but then let go.
I tried letting it sit in a container with some rubble to attach to but it wouldn't stay bottom down to attach at all. Right now I've got it glued again and in a container to try that again but I'm not optimistic.
The frag I have isn't big enough to use the toothpick method and I'm worried about damaging it with rubber bands and mesh.
Any suggestions?

Glue will not work. Leathers slime and will seperate from the rock. Place it in a low flow area between rocks and after a few days it will be stuck onto it by itself.

I currently use the sandwich technique. I use two small pieces of rock (with a V in one of them, of you can arrange that). Put the frag in the V and lightly sandwich it with the second rock (usually flat) and rubber band the two rocks together. You can try super glue gelling the rocks together, too. Sometimes, it'll get black necrosis at the pinch point, but keep flow at least moderate and they usually end up attaching after a week or so.

The toothpick (through the stalk and rubber banded to a small rock) or the needle and thread method can also work. The sandwich method is my prefered any more, though, if it's not got any rubble to which to attach. If you can place it in tupperware container with rubble with some mesh over the top to attach, then glue to something else, that sometimes works, as well.

Using a large needle and some 4 lbs test fishing monofilament line, push through it's trunk and wrap the line around the rock you want it to grow on. Once it's attached it's self, then just cut the line and pull it through. Simple and works every time.

Use a small glass with small pieces of rock on the bottom and lay the coral on top. Let it sit at the bottom of your tank where there is low water flow. It will attached itself in no time.

I use the mesh bags that you get onions in from the supermarket. Just cut a piece big enough to go around the rock and either rubberband the rock or the way I do it is to just "hook" the mesh into the crevices of the LR. Just enough pressure to hold it against the rock and in a few days to a week, it's attached. I have seen people use material from bridal veils too.

I vote for the sewing method. Just sew the branchlet to the rock rubble (tie it on) or the frag disk.
