so after all the nitrate problem two of my fish are covered in ick. what the F***k!! my dottyback and my tang. i bet it was from the nitrate causing them to stress. all i can do is set up a qt tank in the am but I can't put all the fish in a 30 long. I can't treat the main tank with copper b/c of the corals. i really need you help guys

well you can try one of the "reef safe" products but those suck. I would pull the fish (30 gallon is cake) and put the fish in a qt. If you are going to do two you may as well do them all. I have had great luck with dropping the salinaty in the qt .017 or so. This save two true percs and a tang. Good Luck and remember we've all done that before.

yeah but I have to go buy a filter for the thing, and set this thing up. and don;t I have to keep them out of a the main tank for a month.
