My tank is steady at 82 but my chiller has been running for 4hours
straight. Can't wait for next months PG&e bill.

Wake Forest North Carolina and we have been hitting mid 90's and my tank temps are seating around 76 without a chiller!!!!!!
I need heat

101° in Elk Grove, and my fans have been on since 9:00 this morning. Struggling to stay below 81°:(

Got up to about 95 in my part of SJ. The ambient temp in the room of my tank though was 99. So when I got home today, tank was at 84 when its usually at 80. So luckily, after last years heat wave, I bought a used chiller 2 months ago and plugged it in. Tank is back down to 82.

tank got up to 82.4F didn't realize it until around 1pm, put a fan on it, brought it back down to 25C (77F) within a couple hours.

Guys serious? It sure doesn't feel as hot though.

BTW Keith, 1/10hp JBJ chiller should do the job for you. I had it cooling my 100 + 45g sump last season w/o a problem. I have a 120+50g sump now, I haven't put it to test it.

Invest in an ACJR if u don't want to go chiller route. It will not cool but it will stop the heat from rising from the lights.

I've got a 1/4HP Power Cooler, its nearly 6 years old but it does the trick. I live upstairs in an ancient apartment without AC. I think the JBJ would would be runnin' all day as well. I am thinking about replacing my return pump though. I've got a Little Giant 4MDQX-SC, I think it runs a little hot.

Its 75-76 degrees in the house here at pacifica and my tank temp is 79.. with 8bulb T5's. with 1 fan working.

100 gal with lights 6" above the tank.

82.5 on a 100G no chiller. Wife got home around 5:40 and turned on the AC. 79 on a 50 with a controller/fans :D. I shut off the MH on the tank to cool off a bit.
