It's almost time to put the Mustang away, and get my hands wet again...

It's getting colder, so it's only a matter of time before the snow starts falling, so my summertime project needs to be put away... I made a post in the beginning of summer when I got my '09 Mustang GT, which if you'll remember, looked like this...

Well, since then, it's undergone some minor changes... First off was a billet grille set that I bought used from a guy in Cali for a steal and some window tint.

And then I took it to the shop I used to work for, and got my tails and side markers painted black...

I wanted to do some more, but I wanted to keep it subtle, blending in with all the other cars around, and not stick out too much... This is what I came up with.

I ordered the Cervini's C-Series kit, same one used for the "Eleanor" conversions, and did the majority of the work getting the car and parts ready for paint. My buddy (Raptor 90) laid out the paint on the body and shaved the Sirius antenna off the decklid as well as some minor door ding removals and helped with the exhaust install. It sucks that I got so late in the season, and now it's almost time to store it, but at least it will be ready for spring.

Next year, I'm hoping to get new wheels/tires and some more performance upgrades... Raynist, I know you're a Mustang guy, I still want to try and get up to your place before she's put to bed for the winter.

VERY NICE...like the 'black-out' lens and the ghost stripes...Know the feeling, Prowler goes into 'hibernation', soon...must use 4X4 for next few months

Do you own both the Prowler and Diablo in your avatar? That's sick. I've always loved the looks of the Prowler, I hadn't seen one for the last couple years, and then this summer, I think I've come across four of them out and about.

Fun Fact: All the aluminum body panels for the entire production of the Prowler were stamped at an aluminum plant about 3 minutes from my house here in Shadyside, OH.

the diablo belongs to a friend of mine...I liked the color better than the original factory yellow, and had the prowler repainted in lambo yellow w/diamond dust and pearl...paint is unbelievable in sunlight! You're right, theres not many around, less than 9000 in the country...if you drive this car, you must be ready to talk to people at every traffic light! BTW, if theres any parts still sitting around there, they are worth a fortune!

I like that an interior, i've never seen that before. I love a tastefully modded mustang, good job. But that sucks you have to stop driving in the winter, that's why I love Texas.

Sure, come on by. I would love to take a ride in it. I haven't been in any of the new style stangs other than my buddies 2001 GT. I am hoping for a few more nice days to take mine out.

Drove a stock 2009 convertible Mustang with 8 miles on it as a rental when I went to Washington for a wedding back in May. Gotta say that the interior on that car was really nice, but with the stock engine, it just really wasn't nearly as much of a joy to drive as the one in these pictures surely is. Awesome car...looks so nasty, I love it. Always been a fan of the cars that look mean, as opposed to the ones that look bubbly. (to me, most of the BMW's, Porsche's, etc. get put into the bubbly category.)
