This is my new tank that was just picked up yesterday. It's a custom 36x24x18 eurobraced, with a corner overflow. There's also 3/4 inch holes in the front corners for my seaswirls. The stand is 36 high, and I think everything turned out perfect. The only thing that I wanted that wasn't done was a 3/4" hole in the overflow for the return, but I'm content with how everything turned out. Here some pics:

That's it so far, but I'll post some more pictures as I move along.

Thanks for looking, and some tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated too.

I believe the tank/stand was made by Visio. Tom from Carson Tropical fish ordered it for me.

In regards to lighting, I'm probably going to run 2x250 hqi pendants with about a 2" dsb, LR, and a g2 or 1, and mainly a SPS/zoo tank. So far I have the sump, sea swirls, Iwaki md40rlt for return, fuge light, and chiller. Could I begin the cycling process without the lights? I do have the refugium light, so I can begin my macros right away, but is a light required to cycle? Or will my tank cycle but have no coralline growth?

Thanks,

Mike

Nice! So that was your tank sitting in the store. I live a few mins from Carson Tropical. Tom and his guys are very nice people.

looks familiar

looks familiar

hey this tank is awesome...looks really familiar tho. where did you get the idea to do that? BITER!!!!!

I think the tank and stand was built by Visio, I'm not totally sure. Tom at Carson Tropical Fish ordered everything, and I'm not sure who he goes through.

If I were you I would go ahead and start the cycling. If you had the lights on they would just promote alga and you would have no way to get rid of it because you dont have a cleanup crew yet.

The tank is 18" high.

Thanks Hung, I was gonna go bigger, but I was inspired by my buddies other tank that looks pretty awsome too.

Thanks,

Mike

I was planning on using 2x250 ROIII pendants, but that fell thru, now I'm looking for any fixture or pendant thats 2x250 HQI. If anyone has one for sale please lemme know.

Thanks,

Mike
