Have you looked into the Aqua Medic 2x250 hqi/2x39w T5 fixtures? I have a 36" hanging above my tank. Marine Depot has them. Nice clean look. Older photos below.

I was actually looking into that. How is the coverage with everything in it? How much did you pay for it? What bulbs are you running in those pics?

It's complete coverage. I am certain I can put anything in my tank that requires light. My tank is a 36x24x24 and the fixture is 10" above the top of the tank. I put my BTA in there last week and it went straight for the bottom of the tank where it now resides. Fixture comes with 10K AquaLine HQI bulbs and T5 Actinic bulbs which I currently run. I paid $599 from Marine Depot comes with everything you need to hang the fixture too minus toggle bolts.

I like them so far, I was expecting it to look yellow but it's more of a white light with a hint of blue. I'd post a FTS but there's really nothing in the tank cept for LR, my Maroon and a BTA and two small SPS frags.
