Hi all,

I'm sitting here at work, and my new skimmer is "out for delivery". I hate when I have to work and i have a new toy coming in. I am upgrading my ASM-G2 (no mods) skimmer to a Super Reef Octopus Xp 1000sss! Oh it's for a 75g reef. I figure when i get home tonight, I'll give it a vinegar bath, and install it tomorrow (my day off).

I'm really excited to try this skimmer, as i have only heard and read good things about the SRO skimmers. Anyway I just wanted to share my impatience with everyone. 7hr 45 min to go, Sigh :sleep:
 
Funny you should say this as I am also at work while my MP40 is "on vehicle for delivery today". Waiting through a full day of work is no fun, but neither is paying an extra $50 for faster delivery.

This is why i like to send stuffs to my work..at least I have it on hand instead of waiting at the front porch
 
it's worse when you work from home and fedex or UPS refuse to call your "office" a business location (they do businesses first and residences second)
 
I agree with all you :) Right now my tank is sitting at the store, waiting for me to be done with work to pick it up. To amke it worse, this is the second tank! First one, I got, was starting to plumb it, and noticed 3 very large, very noticable scratches on the front! Went from the buzzkill of having everything and starting to set it up, to waiting what is now 3 weeks!!! I wanna get started! I'm going to have to wait long enough as it is to add my fishies... :)
 
ahh man, now that you say that I'm hoping there are no issues with the skimmer when it comes! 2 hrs 58 min to go. To make things worse, it is slow at work today, not much to keep me distracted.

How big is this tank? and good luck with the new build!
 
Waiting for something to come is like slow torture. I ordered my sro xp5000 and it was on back order. I waited for 10 days and the day it showed up I was gone. I had left town for a week because of work. Man, that was a long wait but it sure was worth it. Sometimes I just sit and watch that beast do its thing.

be glad your working my wife just found out thru a news paper article that her place of work is shutting its doors...and i was a 14 days away from ordering a 3000g tank for my new house i was gonna have built around the tank...

enjoy your skimmer, ill enjoy my tank just a while later..lol (after the wife finds a new job and i can justify spending the cash)
 
Yea, no kidding, I'll be working a 12 hour shift when my two reactors, GAC, and GFO from BRS get here friday. Boohoo.
 
Lol...this happened to me this week tuesday. I had my new Reef Octo on its way and I even go home everyday for lunch and it wasnt delievered so I had to wait for 6 more hours. WTH!! LOL. But the excitement when I got home was enough to make my head implode lol
