its hip to be square....

I'm adding more nassarius snails. Conchs never had good luck in my tank. I only have about 75lbs of sand. It's an inch deep in most places. Some places it's maybe 2.

Well the halide is doing what they do.....slowly switching my tank over to SPS predominantly and my ATLstrawberry fields is already encrusting. Which is a big deal to me!!
Just stay on this path and it'll all work out.
Also super glued a few of those pesky vermatid snails. Hope that helps a bit.

Crappy iPhone pictures. I need to get my camera out, and learn to use it!
I have 10 or so more SPS pieces coming soon as well. Was holding off until water and lights were under control and they appear to be on that path.
Steve I am using the Hamilton 20k now. It was what was available quickest when I switched over, I do like it. But might try the 14k or even 12k on my next bulb. Supplement with LED strip bars to maximize growth. What bulbs are you using on your tank?

Added a few more pieces. Lokani 30,000. Slowly coming together. I have some more pieces coming that are healing after the cut.

well my luck has ran out....for 3 years I have had 3 clownfish in this tank and my previous setup. 2 black percs and an orange one. The orange was always bigger but they got along. All hosted my return line:hmm5: nothing more than the little bit of aggression showing hierarchy. Yesterday I noticed the orange one picking a little more than normal on one of the black ones. Well tonight, I come home and see a black one beat up pretty good. I scoop him out and put him in my sump hoping he can recover there.
I figured it was only a matter of time before my 3 HAD to become 2. But after some years I almost thought it might work. :(

Yeah. He didn't make it either, very saddening. I was pressing my luck but was scared to add a new clown fish with hopes they would pair off. I figured a new one would only add to aggression. I wish they would now find their anemone and hang out there.
Tank is doing good, had a bad dip in alk down to 6.5 area but slowly worked it back up and things are looking better. I have about 12 more SPS pieces almost ready to go in the tank soon. :D
And a few more fish. :D

Corey

Added a few fish on Thursday, notably a female leopard wrasse, mentensii butterfly, and a 2 bar rabbit fish. All is doing well thus far. Trying to step up my load for this skimmer!!
Got about 12 SPS frags coming soon as well.

Corey

Yeah!!! Is is sometimes reef compatible. :D. I feed heavily so hopefully I'll keep it happy. Time will tell! I am eyeing your light fixture for sale to steve, that is my dream fixture in a nutshell.

its a really great fixture. I decided to make my system smaller to make things easier for me with maintenance.

Added a few frags tonight from Hollback. They are a neon green monti,
Strawberry fields, pink lemonade, purple polyp acules, mellow yellow, hulk milli,
Hawkins, strawberry short, and red dragon.

Thanks man,
Corey

Coals are all doing well. Great PE on some and others have little to none. Any input on the difference. What causes pe in them and why would some have it and not others.
