Jacob's 360 Gallon Build

As for the trip and helpers this is what we have so far:

Going to Oregon:
Me
Thayer
[could use one more if anyone is willing to make the long road trip]

Unloading in Stockton:
Nathan
Lak
Paul
Thayer
Me
[could use one or two more in case someone can't make it]

I very much appreciate everyone's help! After this weekend, if I can't find enough help from NVR locals, I'll start calling "non-reefing" friends of mine for help... one way or another we'll get er done.

Thanks Bryan. That gives us 6 to unload which should be enough. If anyone else is willing to be a standby that would be cool (hey some of us are getting getting old and might hurt ourselves ;))

OK!
Here is the final plan in action (until it changes again ;))

Thanks to John at Twins I was able to arrange to have the tank delivered to my house for a very reasonable price! So there is no road trip. I still want to shoot a HUGE thanks out to Thayer and Hector for offering to come along on that adventure, it's really cool of you guys to do that. I owe one to you guys.

The delivery date has changed. It can be either this coming Monday (the 21st) or Tuesday (22nd). If Monday it will be in the evening, if Tuesday it will be more like late afternoon (I have a little wiggle room on the day and time).

Can any of you guys who offered to help (or anyone else) possibly make one, or both of those days? The owner tells me this is a 6 man job, but if anyone else wants to come see the show you're welcome too :)

Beer and Pizza is on me.

Lak & Nathan, thanks again.

I'm not sure exactly how late it will be (if on Monday). I don't think it will be later than 9:00 PM - I will know soon.

On Tuesday I have more freedom to arrange a time, but it will probably be in the afternoon.

I'll start making some phone calls and see if I can round up a few more helpers.

Pickup and delivery arrangements were made today. The tank will be arriving between 6:00 and 8:00 PM on Monday night.

The tank is on the truck :D

Here are a couple of pics that the original owner sent me, the first is before she broke it down.

Oh my gosh... it must feel like Christmas Eve. :celeb2:
I'm really excited for you.
And for those of us who can't help tonight...keep us posted.

Something like that :)

Thanks to Thayer, Nathan, Lak, Paul, and Scott the tank is now sitting next to my garage and the project clock is officially ticking. Yes, it took 6 of us to lift it, the 1" acrylic adds a lot of weight! We'll have some pictures of us unloading it forthcoming...
