might sound totally dumb but im setting up a 450 reef and had a idea that jacuzzi jets on a closed loop might be awesome, they make all kinds different nozzels that spin and have various outputs any ideas why this wouldnt work??

they have them made for fish tanks...i think premiumaquatics.com has them

they are pretty sick..once i get my 125 hooked up..if i go CL imm use them

these are the hot tub jets there are so many options

there anywhere from 20 - 40 bucks each , and yeah there is a hole that you can plug if ya dont want the bubbles just google spa jets , i think i might be on to something i should have pantented something ha ha ha but waynem can ya think of any draw backs? no one can seem to give me any other than they might get stuck but they move so much how can they? right?

Here's a couple pics of my previous tank when the previous owner (Nick - nbd13) had it set up... he used (black) Jacuzzi fittings for the CL returns through the back of the wall. They were great for driecting flow throughout the tank

Nope... I wouldn't go with anything spinning because they'd get build up on them after a while OR seize up totally (even with the non-spinning ones this happened). I know when I ran the spinning HYDOR Flos (similar concept - but for the end of a power-head) I had this happen all the time in my SPS tank. With the HYDORs I could remove them and soak in Vinegar... a bulkhead would prove much more difficult.
