Jaebo not working

Last year at Macna I got a Jaebo (it was part of a group buy and it was handed to me at macna). Noticed it was not working yesterday. The lights are on but to does not pump. Any suggestions?

Not too smart for me. I gave it a vinegar bath about a half Gleason of water to a tablespoon vinegar. Did not get that clean. How much vinegar should I use. Yep wp40.

you need way more vinegar than that. ide add a few cups to a gallon. cheap white vinegar is good. I buy the huge (~2 gallons) from publix. Its a few bucks.

Let it soak for a few hours or a day if you can. Then use a hard toothbrush.

Had the same exact problem with mine last night ( mine is brand new though).. Wouldnt work for 2 days... Pulled it out and pushed the propeller a couple times to see if it was stuck... Then put in water and plugged it back on... And it worked again! Those things get stuck!

The white bushing that is in the middle of the pump cover can sometimes get pushed towards the impeller and actually stop it. You can remove the cover and push the bushing back away from the impeller if this is the case

Humm seems that when i push the button the light does not rotate through the various settings. Stuck on S1.

try unplugging the controller, power supply and all the connections. Wait a few minutes then put it back together. I had one that was acting up and that worked for me.
Had another one that everything seemed to work except the impeller would not turn. Took it apart and bench tested it with other controllers and power supplies. Impeller would still not turn. Ended up contacting fish street and they sent a replacement pump for minimal shipping charge. A fellow reefer had the same issue with one, and they sent him the replacement part as well

Thats really good news. Didnt expect much customer service from them since they are so cheap, but glad to hear. My WP 40 vs MP 40 is a real close draw with regards to flow. However ive had my MP for over 8 years with no issues. Lets hope WP can do the same.

Yes, I was surprised, I would definitely buy from fish street before an ebay vendor for that reason alone. I never ran a MP and can't compare them but the WP40 blew away the Korallia. As far as a WP lasting eight years, I doubt it lol. My thinking was I can replace four WP40 and still be under the price of one MP40

Nope. The pump is clean and free of debris. The controller box just won't do anything. Light is stuck on sl1. Won't change to anything else. But the feed button works. The pump did spin for a second or two twice while I was testing it. But I could not get it to happen again or prolong the spin.

That's why I tossed my first of two WP 40s in the trash when it stopped working. Beyond cleaning, I'm not wasting my time on it. I knew it was garbage when I bought it. To be fair, the broken one ran for almost 1.5 yrs, and #2 is still running.
When it quits (my expectation is soon, based on others' experience) I'll try cleaning it, and then off to the landfill it goes.
