Japanese Rose Bubble-tip?

Stuff on the West Coast is really highly priced.

Not sure why you would say that. Pretty much everything from the South Pacific comes in through LAX. Don't want to start a price war thread or anything, but if you find LA stores are more expensive than the rest of the country, you are shopping at the wrong stores.

That's the regular prices for where I live and I don't think $150 for a (slightly bleached) RBTA is very cheap.
But NVM let's not start a price war. :o

I think he means the prices in that link are expensive... At least i hope! I would never pay that much for any of that stuff!

I was just pointing out prices on an online store that I found in Maine. It seemed pricey compared to the stores I go to in Southern California, however not at all pricey relative to the stores I used to go to in Chicago. I always use certain common fish as a guide. For example, Flame Angels out here go for $39, Yellow Tangs (Hawaii) go for $29, Copperband Butterflies (Indian Ocean) go for $29, etc.

Probably the biggest difference, however, is the fact that I see a lot of livestock out here in Southern Cal that I never saw in the Midwest. Rare (and expensive) angels, tangs, butterflies, etc, to say nothing of the inverts. So I guess you could say the common stuff is less expensive, but they also sell a lot of expensive rare stuff too.

Last red haddoni I bought out here (retail) I paid $160 for. Now they have one on DD for $800. And you know what? If I still lived in Chicago I'd probably pay that much because I NEVER saw one in retail all the years I lived there.

I have never been to an aquarium store in Maine so I can't really say. It just doesn't seem to make sense that Maine would be cheaper since they have to transship everything up from LAX.
