Anampses feminus - $600
Centropyge joculator - $1200
Centropyge hotuamata - $1000
Centropyge resplendens - $1000
Centropyge loriculus - $50
Liopoproma carmambi - $800
Paracentropyge multifasciatus - $100

Not bad. are all of those available in the U.S.?

The Centropyge hotuamata are now protected in the Easter Islands. I just found these out. The C. resplendens are also proctected in their natural habitat, BUT they are being breed out in Hawaii by RCT Hawaii. Although, he will not have any available for awhile.

The rest of them are obtainable, but like Joe said, you have to know the right people and be willing to spend some cash.

BTW, Edward, it's good to see you around again :), keep in touch man. How's the new tank planning going?

Nick, its good seeing you too! its great seeing familiar faces again. I feel right at home. ;) The planning is going well. Just trying to figure out what I need to purchase for the new tank. A lot of new items out and I want to make sure I get the latest & greatest. :)

Hows your tank doing? Last time I saw you, you were doing it right and getting the best.

Haha, I have this feeling you are going to setup this great tank :D.

I like seeing the Japanese post from you again....it gives me more and more ideas, haha ;).

My tank is coming along. Still trying to finish up stocking it. Tyring to locate a few more rare fish ;).

It's going well though, I am going to tie in another tank to the system, I am thinking of doing a 'Japanese' style tank.....open top (probably from Will at aqurium obsessed) something like 5-6'x36"x24-30" with some type of pendant light over it (been watching to see which route you go with that) and I will tie it into my system and make it a "rare angel" SPS tank, Japanese style :).

Keep me posted on the progress of your system and I will do the same, I need to get some new pics up.

i love seeing these clean japanese tanks....it's so strange how their tanks are spotless but their equipment is all over the place.

Lol. I was thinking the exact same thing. Remember, Japanese have a thing for being excessively clean. Its part of their culture. An example of that is the toilets they use. Dont get me wrong, there are some Japanese tanks who have a clean equipment room too.

Nick, that would be a great idea! I still wish someone would buy the Supercool lights. I have yet to see anyone in the states with them. They are expensive, but I want to see if that is a huge part of the coral coloring they posess. The only disadvantage to the supercool lights is that it doesnt look clean like a german tank. I guess having nice corals takes away from the light setup. When this guy first set up his tank, his corals were very brown. Now they glow. Here's his setup in the beginning:

IMGP0437.JPG

Here's his light schedule. As you can see his MH's are not on longer than 6 hrs for each one. Some of us in the states go 10-12 hrs. This causes saturation of the zooxanthallae which then causes darkening of the coral.

lighting_timeflow2.jpg

- He feeds his fish ever night.
- His PH stays at 8.0-8.1.
- His Alk has fluctuated several times from 7 to 9 from 12. Going to 12 was because he hasnt tested in a while. But he is usually arouind 9.
- He does A LOT of water changes.
- He does add PO4 remover. A cap full

Oh! What a rich japanese!

Lol. I have been browsing the Hong Kong SPS tanks and they arent too bad either.

Actually Hong Kong SPS was cheap, I just got some from China just only US$12.... so we'll buy to much and make the tank so crowd...

This tank is not belong to you? really?

Hey Edward,

Do you have a link to those lights? You have me interested, haha. Might just have to get them for the new tank :).

Do you have any "after" pics of the tank pictured above?

Get some more pics up to give me some ideas, haha :). My favorite so far is still the "Rainbow Lagoon", but the pics on the first page rival that now :D.

The after pic of the tank above is on the first page. Its the same tank. You can get those lights imported. Just like you said in the previous posts, you have to know who to talk to. mane3215 had a connection to get any japanese lighting. Those supercool lights are about $1K a piece if I remember correctly. But I guess you can try 2 out at first. I do have much more tanks I can post. They have the same lighting scheme. The only thing you have to worry about is a converter. My favorite is still the Blue Lagoon (reefaqua.com). :)

annien, sorry its not.

Innovative way to hold multiple lighting pendants by placing them on a framed wire grid that can be raised or lowered all at once.

Cool, but i would be worried about one of those spring loaded clips coming off and the light falling in the aquarium. I would want a retainer screw or something on the clip to provide a backup against this.

Thanks for the great stuff Invincible 569!
