Jason Fox jack-o-lantern leptoseris

i saw one at my LFS not too long ago. it really pops, but i wasnt gonna pop for 2 bills. nicest orange i can think of though

I keep mine on a rock face that is maybe 15 degrees shy of horizontal, low in the tank. It gets moderate, indirect, highly variable flow. It's a stunning coral, and a very fast grower. Surprisingly strong feeding response too, mine always puts out sweepers in the evening.

It's a dark loving coral. I've had one for a few months and when it's in anything over 150 par it lightens up. We'll at least mine does..

Awesome piece though unlike any other color in the tank.
Totally agree on the sweepers lol at first I thought it was the ridges to the skeleton but it's little nubs sticking off all over.

Its a beauty for sure...... sad to say I sold mine.

They grow very fast. Mine is doing great paid $70 for 1/4 in
I think very fast is relative. Compared to most encrusting montipora they are snails, but compared to most chalice it's pretty fast.

Also most would consider it an LPS, not an SPS.

This isnt a true jack-o-lantern lepto, but is very similar. I have had only 8 months and has grown very fast.

I've got one they aren't cheap. I really like them took a long time to find one of a decent size at a fair price. I've got mine a bit higher up but it's shaded. I have some red lepo that is growing all over the place. I've had it for 3 years. They don't like direct light

Mine grew like crazy. And will outcompete just about any coral for space. I got mine isolated to rock on it's own in the sand bed. Beautiful coral.
