Thanks, It's been running for two months now. Yeah, I kept some frags out of my 120G to help fill up this tank. The lighting is two 65w PC actinics and one Ushio 150W HQI. IT's a 24" Coralife fixture that's on legs over the biocube.

Thanks. I can't wait for the acros to grow out more.

Some of the SPS are:

ORA German Blue Polyp
ORA Teneaus
ORA Ice Tort
ORA Tri-Color Valudia
ORA Purple/Green/Orange Digita
ORA Spongodes
Grape Montipora Cap
Peltiformus Cap
Tyree Ponape Torch

And more...

I need a place to grow frags and run my new skimmer. I decided to build a sump myself. This is my first acrylic build. My weld on 4 and supplies will be next week. Today I cut the acrylic and laid it out how I think I'm going have it.

The back left will be my skimmer chamber and the back right will be my return section and ATO. The large front section will be half fuge and half frag tank. I've got a rapid led par 38 for my grow bulb for the frags. More to come once some more stuff arrives.

I have to still decide if I'm going to drill the back of the BC or if I'm going to go HOB with aqua lifter pimp. I'm leaning towards drilling.

Cheers all

Jason.

New skimmer came in today. I'll get pictures of it up after work. It's a cone skimmer that was only $70 shipped to my door! The build on this thing is nice!

I ordered the nano overflow kit from glass-holes.com as well as some 1/2 lock like for the stock returne. I'll be drilling this tank without draining it so wish me luck. If i break it, i'll just buy another one. This one has a few scratches in the glass so i don't care if I have to buy another. While i'm drilling i'll be spraying with a spray bottle to keep things cool and lubed. That will take place this weekend. I can't wait to get the sump up and running so i can clean out my DT of frags and corals I grow out to frag.

Cheers
Jason

Verynice. I really plan to build a sump for myself and my BC29. Have it up yet? Does it fit in the cabinet?

Will be watching this thread.. :)

It won't be up until this weekend. Yes it will fit. Cost is $100 in acrylic and Weldon.

Well weld on did not show up today. Hopefully it shows up tomorrow. On a side note I installed a Phoenix 14K MH today. Just had to get rid of the 10 Ushio.

Also, I placed a HUGE LPS order from Pacific East Aquaculture. I'm selling off my SPS.

Pics will come.

I just bought a new Dewalt cordless drill with a clutch for drilling. I slid the tank away from the wall, drained about 5g out of it, and drilled it while spraying the bit with a spray bottle filled with water. Took about 5 min tops.

Very easy to do. My class holes super nano overflow is installed and awaiting further plumbing. No Weldon yet so the sump is on standby. I may be able to get to it tomorrow.

Cheers
Jason

Oh, i'll get some pics up as soon as I can.

Plumbing is 95% done! Sump is running. I still need a fitting or two to get the BRS reactor online and my manifold up and running. Enjoy!

Looks great!

However, unless I'm missing something, how is water getting into the fuge?

any more sump/plumbing shots?

Ha, your not missing anything. I'm not done yet. The maniflod will run two BRS reactors and provide water for the Fuge. I need more fittings to complete the maniflod and turn it on.

I'll be getting more plumbing shots today!

Quad ATO....that's right, quad switches. I dose Kalkwasser for top off water and I don't want it to over dose. I also have it controlled by PH. If PH gets abov 8.35 my top off pump is shut off.

Manifold to run reactors, help with water changes, or for flow in the sump.

This is the drain to the sump. The black bulbhead is tied into the gl*******s nano overflow.

Just an update. I'm goin to be running a calcium reactor on the BC soon. I miss the added strontium and trace elements you get with running one. I ordered a octopus 70CR reactor, aquariumPlant digital co2 regulator, arm extra course media, a bag of zeomag to add to the reaction chamber, a 5lb co2 tank, and an extra SL1 with pinpoint salinity probe to monitor the reaction chamber ph and controll if necessary.

My 29g nano gets more love than my 120g Sps tank ever did. Lol.
