I haven't had a tank since moving about 2 years ago. Jumping back in with a 24g (18") cube. Sand and rock went in today.

Equipment:
AI Prime HD light
SCA 301 skimmer
Jebao controllable pump
Sicce Syncra 1.5 return pump
Herbie drain

Not quite sure yet. Pretty set on a Midas blenny, and maybe an orchid dottyback.

I'll have a fire shrimp and emerald crab too.

Equipment all in place, except for reactors.

The sump is an eshopps nano cube that I got on clearance and is pretty much the perfect size for this tank. The only weird design choice is that the return chamber is in the back and behind white acrylic, so you can't monitor the water level. I just put it at a slight angle so I can see it.

After a short cycle I decided to try something different with fish and do an all-dartfish tank.

I currently have a purple firefish and zebra dartfish, and eventually plan to add a blue gudgeon.

Ita very cool to watch them swim so actively when there are no other fish to bother them. The zebra dartfish even seems in and out of crevices in the rockwork like a wrasse.

Firefish need to be kept individually (in a small tank anyway), but they don't have a problem with other dartfish, and other dartfish aren't aggressive to their own/other species.
