Hello guys,

Does anyone has the jbj ATO unit from JBJ?
is it worth? Does it have any problem installing it at the lateral chambers, I'm saying this because when the pump is on the water on the same lowers its level a bit.

I noticed you have a Nano and a MP10, I have a 29g Nano and have been thinking about getting the MP10. Do you think one is enough and have you been happy with yours?

so can i change out my ballast with any HQI one as long as it's 150w or over?

I dont know exactly how it works... If you click search this thread at the top and type in "ballast" you can look through posts in the thread about it. Looking through them real quick I saw some talking about the icecap upgrade

Also what are you guys all using to clean the bottom of the back chambers, and pick stuff up that has fallen back there? I can't fit my arms down lol

Does the AquaEuro 2 fit in the center chamber, or just the original one?
It's small enough to fit in the stock chamber, so it will definitely fit in the center chamber. I wouldn't recommend the center chamber for this skimmer though as it will be a very loose fit and you might have a hard time keeping it in place.

I occaisonally use a long section of tubing to syphon the funk from the back chambers. But honestly, I run a good media basket setup and it catches a TON of stuff before it ever makes it to the floor of my back chambers

I presently keep my AE 2 in center and it fits nice. The vibration of it and extremely tight future in the Skimmer chamber drove me crazy. Plus you cannot use the water level elbow and valve in the chamber

I meant the skimmer chamber, I'm just brain-dead.... :headwallblue:

I made the mistake of not cleaning the bottom of the tank that good when I bought it. I actually managed to get most of it out a little while after I posted that though. It didnt seem to be messing with any levels, I think it was mostly just sand. It was just bothersome to me looking at it.

I just bought some new Stunner LED strips at the LFS. They seem awesome I am hoping that the can completely replace the standard compacts that the tank came with. Do you think two of the strips will be able to completely replace the bulb or would I have to buy something else to work with the strips to pulls this off? Suggestions to pair the strips with?

Thanks guys, go nanos!

1w or 3w LED???

1w or 3w LED???

Been reading through the thread here and I cant seem to find an answer to my question. I dont see anyone running the 1w LED hood. And I see some are happy and some not with their 3w hoods. I have interest in keeping mostly lps and softies but dont want to "under power" the tank either. I have a shallow rimless now with an AI Sol over it so I already know I will be somewhat perturbed by the inability to dim which has me gun shy on the 3w.

So my question is... anyone running the 1w version? Impressions? For you 3w owners I assume you really need to toy with coral placement due to the inability to dim... anyone having problems with bleaching or scorching?

Thanks in advance for the input.

Mark

Anyone think running the center media chamber of the basket is beneficial? also, will the JBJ ATO system work on this tank?
