Have a 28g nano and cant get rid of ha. I have red turf and g. h a. Ph Is 7 .7. Nit 0. Ca 460. Mg 1420. Sal 1.026. TEMP 80. The live rock is about Five years old. I have the tlf gfo reactors on it for over a month now and it is doing nothing. I also have charting in the sump. I use about Five tbsp of gfo so far. Any IDEAS? I do a 20% wc a week too.

turbo snails, turbo snails, turbo snails.

I'd suggest pulling out what LR you can and scrape off what algae you can with a sponge or something similar. Then acclimate some turbo snails (4-5) and let them go to work. If the turbo snails stray, then occasionally place them back on the algae.

This method has worked for me on some minor outbreaks in the past.

Best of luck and stay on top of it.

Pull off the GHA with tweezers/fingers as much as you can. Dump it into a bucket of hot fresh water to clean your tool. Once it's all trimmed down, use a toothbrush to scrape the remaining GHA off of the liverock. Also ensure that you are using a turkey baster to blow off the LR on a daily basis to prevent detritus buildup. Then just repeat and let the GFO reactor catch up. The reactor is not an instant cure, takes time like anything else in reefing.
