Tank is looking good, and wow did that midas get big!! IMO that light may be a little too much intensity, some of your corals are looking fairly bleached. Not to take away from the tank though, really looking good!

markschmitt85, nice tank. I got the same tank, but I was told that the glass were tempered and can't be drill. I really wants to get this tank drill. Any advice will help. Btw I planning on drilling the back.

My Iphone takes pretty terrible pictures. I know the corals look kind of bleached in some of the photos but its just the camera not being able to cope with the amount of light. I wish I could take pictures with just the blues on so you could see the colors. I need to invest in a camera. Hanvdo.... You can't drill the sides. Those are tempered. I called the manufacturer and the bottom can be drilled. Just make sure you do it slowly. Space is def. an issue. If i could do it again, I would have tried to remove the glass that seperrates the return space from the overflow. I almost had to scrap the whole project, but thankfully was able to fit enough reducers in to get it to fit the stock return ends. I've been debating adding a pump to increase flow. I feel like there is a big dead spot underneath the arch, but its always a work in progress.

Good looking tank Tek. Are you running the Blueline LED. Yours looks thinner. Turns out Ange062 was right... one of my acros at the top started to lose its colors. I decided to back the lights off a tad. I'm a little bummed the tank doesn't pop as much but hopefully the corals will like it. I'm debating adding another blue LED for some color. Does anyone know of a Strip that doesn't break the bank. I also added some new additions a week ago or so I'll post some pics later tonight when I have some time.

Mine are the D120s I believe they are called from Ebay. Dimmable with 2 channels and 55 LEDs. I was bleaching my corals when I first ran them at over 50-70% but have since backed them down to 30% and slowly increasing. The Actinics are way more intense than what our eyes can distinguish. The bleached corals have colored back up but some of my blues went brown due to overfeeding the tank. I have a new Hydor skimmer on the way to help with that and am increasing my water changes and feeding less.

I just noticed the birdsnest on the back wall. I am running out of places and ideas to put corals so that may be my next option. Did you use superglue?

Sorry for the delayed response... I've been really busy lately. Tek, I used a lot of super glue and a small magnet. The super glue by itself would hold for awhile, then eventually fail. Since, I added the magnet I haven't had an issue.

I used only super glue!!! LOL but my frags are small. I am hoping they incrust before I have to worry about anyhting falling.

I actually wish I went bare bottom like your tank and incrusted the bottom with corals.

Does anyone keep the glass top on? Does it get a bunch of condensation?

I do because I have a flame hawk who looks like he really wants to jump out. It also really cuts down on evaporation. I take the top off when I'm hanging out nearby or showing off the tank. And yeah, it accumulates tons of condensation and salt. Kind of a pain.

I asked this in another thread but figured I'd try here too. Do you have problems with microbubbles from the return pumps? They're constant for me, whether the sump is high or low, whether the skimmer is on or off. I emailed JBJ and they suggested running the sump water level so that it's higher than the return nozzles. Hardly seems practical.
