JBJ ato or BRS Doser?

Which would be better if i plan to run kalkwasser in my top off? Also can i just hook the doser up to a timer to dose throughout a 24 hour period or do i need something else in line? Curious what others have done to use a doser as a top off?

I use a dual float switch from autotopoff.com to control my peristaltic pump. It runs through a kalk reactor. The pump has a very slow flow rate and only pulls from a 6g container that is refilled daily.
