JBJ ato trouble shoot

I can't afford tunze ato...


I have jbj ato...it's lit on but it will not turn pump on aqua lifter..

I unplug pump and plugged into outlet and pump is running I'm puzzled..

Is my jbj ato shot ?

It's only used 3 month

This is a normal built in safety feature. I put mine on a cheap $5 timer and have it set so that it turns off every 15 minutes. This is a common work-around that should solve your problems. Good luck.

aqualifter does not pump water fast enough to be used with jbj ato. either you need to reset it using a timer as suggested above, or use a pump that pumps water faster.

there is instructions at marine depot on how to adjust the fail safe time, in case you have not done that yet.

An aqualifter works just fine for my 46g when the timer is used. I actually prefer this setup because the water level stays constant since it replenishes a little bit multiple times a day.
