Hi everyone. Im looking to get an ATO an considering a couple options. The JBJ, atuotopoff.com, or something different. Im gonna use an aqualifter for the pump with a small 5 gal reservoir..Was thinking of same setup as the video at mrsaltwatertv but then i started looking into the JBJ. Which would you suggest? Thankss

i use the jbj ATO. i keep a 5 gallon tank full of RO under my stand with a maxijet 900 hooked to some tubing. only had one freak issue. my aqualifter took a crap that was hooked to my wier overflow box. i lost the siphon and my return pump on my sump drained the sump into the tank.. overflowing it while the ATO was flooding the sump with fresh RO lol.

long story short i love the JBJ ATO. Makes my life easier :)

Ouch.. I think im gonna go with it. Its actualy cheaper than the dual ato from autotop. Its not a big decision assuming they are both good units... Thanks

I use an AquaLifter to move water from my 5 gallon reservoir. The only issue is it tends to clog and needs to be cleaned. I would suggest having a spare AquaLifter so you can swap them. They make a prefilter that helps with that issue.

I have been using the JBJ for a couple of years too without problems. Just remember to clean the floats once and a while so they don't stick.

One of the features that I like is the time out function which will stop the pump if too much time elapses. You do have to take this into account though when selecting the pump. I tried the aqualifter first and it couldn't pump enough water before the time out shut it off. I moved to a mp400 and no problems since. Just something to consider.

I haven't measured it but it looks like the water level drops about 1/4" before it kicks on.
