Hey guys,

So a little over a year ago i started my saltwater venture by ordering a 28 gallon jbj hqi nanocube....was absolutely amazed with it and had no problems with it for just about a year....and then out of no where it sprung not one, but two leaks.....the first one started in the top back right corner....hey no big deal i lowered the water level and re sealed it and problem was taken care of....the literally 5 days later is started leaking from the bottom...a lot...like 5 gallons in about 6 hours....so needless to say i went into emergency mode and transferred all livestock, coral and all equipment into a 30 gallon breeder in my basement....i called jbj and told them what had happened and i was literally 3 DAYS out of my warranty.......they pretty much told me to screw off and i wasnt having that. so to make a long story short they told me they would replace my tank and stand (totally destroyed by all the water) if i paid shipping...hey no problem i'll take that deal.....then they changed their mind and never told me...they sent me the replacement tank and didnt send me the stand...when i called they stated they would only replace certain parts of the stand...well the problem was the whole thing was trash....3 weeks go by and someone reached out to build me a custom stand (YAY), i get the stand today take it down stairs to stage up my new tank on it and do a leak check and i quickly find out that THE TANK BOTTOM IS NOT LEVEL.....it's literally off by a half inch from the back right to the front left corner...the actual tank WOBBLES.....AND upon further inspection the silicon seal on the inside was peeled in many places.....i cant wait till monday when i can call them.....this is not cool at all...

Probably not a good idea to publicly bash a company, first of all. And the tank worked just fine under the warranty period, and since they were not obliged to do anything at the point that you called them I'd say it's pretty cool that they offered up to help you even outside of their legal obligation. And there are hundreds of people around here using JBJ's with no issues after years of service. When it comes down to silicone leaks and such problems it could easily be the result of improper use or maintenance by the owner (using a razor blade or algae scraper, for example, could easily compromise a seal).

Sorry to hear about your bad experience, but I am sure they will make it right and don't see the point of making a public bashing before you have finished up working out the details with them.
