Well this is the start of my first real diary/log of a build up. Now for some of the info if you care to tag along. This will be my first large tank at home to house 90% or more of SPS. So we will see how it goes.

Here are the purchased parts waiting for arrival or in my possesion.

Tank is a LeeMar 72x24x26 flat polished and euro braced. Got a great deal on this from a good friend.

Stand is being custom built by Matt Plane, its going to stand 38" tall to house equipment.

Lighting
3x 400 watt Sunlight Supply Galaxy electronic ballast

3x Lumenarc reflectors

3x 400 watt 20k XM bulbs

1x Fantech FR100

Skimmer
MRC MR-3R run on a BL55

Calcium Reactor
MRC 818 run on BL20

Return pump
Gen-x MAK 4, I might upgrade this to something more in the range of 2000 GPH

Heating
2x 350watt Ebo Jager heaters

Now parts I either still need to get or Im debating.

2x Tunze Streams 6100 on multi controler

Kalk reactor

Sump

Oceans Motions squirt or super squirt

I belive I am going to go with BB on this system I have never done this before so its worth a try and if I don't like it I can always add sand.

good luck with the tank.

I would deffinetly look into getting some more flow in your tank if you are going BB. i have 2 tunze 6000s on my 120 which is not BB and i still need more flow. If I remember corectly, clkwrk had 3 tunze streams in his BB 120 and your tank is almost twice the size.

I am still not sure what setup I wanted to go with for flow in the display.

The wave Box is a big debate as I don't want the life of the tank to be brought down any. And im not sure how many Streams or at what strength im going to need.

As for the sump I really don't want to get over 2000 GPH. I would like to keep bubbles, noise, and energy to a minimum

Ok so suggestions for flow in the tank?

4x Tunze streams 6100 on a multi controler?

Also on my return would any of you do an Oceans Motions squirt?

No closed loops on this tank. Im leaning towards upgrading my return pump to around 2000 gph and using an oceans motions something or other for more of a random current. In addition to 4x Tunze stream 6100 on a multi controler.

Screwed myself big time on this one. I need to get radiation therapy done to my thyroid and I don't have insurance... I think thats enough said.
